Owens was first published in June of 2008, a poetry book titled “After All We Only Ever Listened to The Refrigerator Hum.” Her most recent addition to bookshelves is in the newly published anthology “Recipes For The Apocalypse” by Baobob Tree Press. She is most usually clutching on to either a coffee cup or a cigarette. Currently living in Colorado, Emily is working on her newest projects, “The Saints of Manhattan.” A compilation of reflections and conversations with the people and faces of New York City whom have in some shape or form, exceeded their present time expectations, and “What We Were Talking About”, a collection of poetry and short stories from the sights and scenes of America. A devout lover of the strange and unexpected, she spends her days wandering around town with her tin cup and satchel with no particular direction, as she follows her feet wherever they happen to lead her.
